1.Our best clients are people who treat our employees with respect, appreciation and consideration.
Our employees clean homes all day long 5 days a week. Each team cleans between three to five homes a day. And do it with little, if any complaining. They know my mantra is that every client and every clean is important, from the first clean on Monday morning until the last clean on Friday afternoon.
Also, my employees are provided with job tickets containing vital information about your home up to and including the rooms to be cleaned, the cleaning products to be used, etc. And they know what they are allowed to do and not allowed to do. Employees follow a strict cleaning process, a process that has been approved by The Association of Residential Cleaning Professionals (ARCSI). And they won’t do anything without first receiving prior approval from me.
2. We will use your “green” cleaning products or your vacuums but it places an undue burden on us.
Quite frankly, the “green” products do not work as well as our products. Nothing we use is toxic or harmful to your home. With respect to using your vacuums, our vacuums (upright and portable small vacs) are commercial grade. And many of the vacuums you use for your personal use are just too heavy and cumbersome for my cleaners to use.
3. Don’t be concerned if we ask you to make an inspection of your home while we are still in your home, assuming you are at home.
Since we have a 24 hour satisfaction guarantee policy, the last thing my employees want is to return to a home the following day to fix something that did not meet your satisfaction.

. Most Independent cleaning people as well as franchise organizations do not run any type of background check or drug testing procedures. Nor do they carry liability insurance.
The insurance, workers’ compensation, background checks, etc. are to protect you, our company, and my employees. If we didn’t carry these types of coverages, you would be on “the hook” should something get broken, damaged, or someone hurt inside of your home.
We also pay our cleaning people well above minimum wage which means our employee turnover is lower than most other cleaning companies.

Best Practices
Firehouse has made a point of taking the best practices of large cleaning franchise organizations and independent cleaning people which means we have a strict cleaning process with a more personalized approach.

Should you want your home cleaned more often, we’ll put together a number of options for your consideration.
7. Firehouse is a small company and most likely you will see the same people in your home.

owever, we try to switch cleaners around so that all cleaners have had an opportunity to have cleaned your home at one time or another.

We are not perfect; cleaning is still a manual process. So if there is something bugging you about our cleaning, please contact me by telephone or email. I contact each client the afternoon before to remind you of your cleaning scheduled for the next day.
This is your opportunity to bring things to my attention. We have group/team meetings every morning before the cleaners leave for the day so this is my time to talk to them and remind them of certain key cleaning issues. Remember, I cannot fix something without first being made aware of the issue.

Please pick up clothes, clear up clutter on counters, especially in kitchens and bathrooms, get dishes out of the sink, put away toys, etc.
You pay us to clean, not pick up stuff. And you will be much happier with the clean. My policy is to clean around clutter.

11. Communication!! It works both ways!

ease give me your feedback – on our cleaning as well as on my employees. I have no problem discussing a concern with your home that has been shared with me by my employees. However, do not think that if you tell my employees something about a clean, for example, a date change, or adding rooms, etc. it will get back to me. You must communicate with me.
12. Pets!
We
are a pet friendly company. In fact many of my clients would tell you I treat their pets better than I treat them. However, if a pet is ferocious or makes a cleaner nervous with nipping, biting, etc., you will be asked to restrain the pet while your home is being cleaned.
